Lock box code to stranger
I just called an owner about a property that I'd like to see in a couple of days. He said he had some other properties to show but he said he would give me the code to the lock box so I can check it out.
My wife is worried that this is not only an abnormal thing for an owner to do, but it's also a huge liability for me to go and see the property.
Is this true?
Thanks!

Wow, I'm just standing here amazed at how a simple question could turn into a giant conundrum. Yes, if he gave you the lockbox code you should AT LEAST drive by the property. By that, you should be able to tell if its a neighborhood you want to invest in or not. Then if the coast is clear, park the car, get out and proceed to the lockbox. I'll leave the rest up to you. Godspeed.
Cheers!
