There are also many more options that you could play with if things didn't work out work out, unlike a property.I would love to hear more from others who perhaps have owned or ran a somewhat successful company and now involved in real estate and how you feel the two compare.Just trying to pinpoint at which point does it make sense for me to get involved in Real Estate because if I have to watch over everything regularly and get returns less than I would in a company it makes no sense for me.I look forward to your view points.Sincerely,Brent

Prices are higher, the homes have been significantly improved, functional obsolesence usually removed.I doubt that anyone can pinpoint an area as having a greater weather incident will cause any external obsolesence in the market, look at tornado alley, if the weather wasn't acceptable people wouldn't be there.

I was hoping a company could pinpoint the problem and replace just that section (it is likely copper pipe under there).Also, I understand cost varies by state and city, not to mention what they run into, but what should I look at as reasonable estimates?

The difference between a "safe" and "unsafe" area can be as little as a single block so this can help you pinpoint whats going on in your exact location.Lastly I would encourage you to give the local police precinct a call and ask them about the neighborhood.
