From Seattle with Rain?

I know this may be a shock to most, but it has not rained in Seattle for 10 straight day! Yay (Knock on wood)! Ok, perhaps this is not such a great feat but it makes me just a little bit more happy.

Alright, lets get this started! My name is Vitali. As you might have guessed, I live in Seattle, WA. I am currently attending the University of Washington and I am a few quarters away from graduating with a bachelors degree in Biology. I know my area of study might have very little to do with real estate investing, but I have learned an amazing amount interesting material and would do it 10/10 times if I could do it again.

My interest in real estate sprouted from one of Rich Dad's books. It inspired me to read many more books after that and I eventually found my way to this site. I have become so intrigued with real estate investing that I am on BiggerPockets religiously, reading and learning every single day!

The articles and posts on this blog/forum are simply amazing! I am grateful for all the members here that take their valuable time to teach and help others learn.

I hope that I can contribute to BiggerPockets and provide some valuable opinions!

Hey Joshua Dorkin, thank you for welcoming me to BP. Even though undergraduate biology is interesting to me, I don't see myself continuing down that path to make it my career. It's hard to pinpoint why I want to pursue a career in REI, but when you can get excited reading articles, posts, books, and etc. for hours everyday, there might be something to that.

The way I want to get into real estate is by purchasing a multiplex with an FHA loan and obviously renting out the other units while I live in one. Then refinance and move out, and do it all over again. I think that might help me ease myself into the REI realm.
