I repair them myself (I knock out the cardboard stiles and replace them with solid pine) but the ones right out of the store are pure junk.

Also, what are you main reasons for looking to STF in Rockford, not knocking the area by any means but there is so much opportunity within the city limits where you're less likely to have extended vacancies.Short term rentals have taken a beating this year, while long term rentals have seen an uptick in what they can charge due to high home prices, and inflated interest rates.

I don't usually get long vacancies (knock on wood) because the vacancy rate is close to 0 where my rentals are.

@Anton FiliptsovThey don’t allow anyone inside because it’s tenant occupied and tenant will not allow it and it’s not worth the banks efforts to get a court orderYou can go knock on door and say hello and when they open door see the inside but also recognize you could get shot - who knows.

We've been able to save a decent reserve for that property because (luckily) in the 8 years we have rented it out we haven't had a single gap in vacancy (knock on wood that continues).
