Some are forcing income with STRs, but the crackdown has started and only a matter of time before that could go away. 

Yes City of Boulder is trying to pass an ordinance trying to crack down on over-occupancy but I don't think it will solve the problem and will actually make it worse.

Like Jacob said, prostitution is rampant in that area although according to Clarke Square landlord meetings that I've attended, the city is well aware of this and trying to crack down on that but it seems to be a slow moving process.

There's also usually not a big parent company that would crack down on anti-customer behavior.

Hopefully Airbnb/City of Chicago don't crack down too hard on that aspect of the STR ordinance.
