The hourly pay was good at the time with the stock upside.Flash forward today and as mentioned pretty much anyone good will not work at these places unless it is supplemental type income going through school or retired, temp gap until they land a contracting job again etc.

If I died in a boat accident my income would be supplemented by all the rental properties we owned.Then I made just a simple spreadsheet in excel with cash flow amounts. 250, 300, 400 etc.

In my experience, and I'd admit I'm not the best investor out there, far from it, real estate is a nice supplemental income, but I don't see that as enough to quit a job.

I think someone also mentioned a triplex, and that might work as well so you can get economies of scale there to supplement the income.
