I joined the site awhile back and never introduced myself. Today I am still on fire for REI after a 3 day seminar from one of those dreaded gurus. 😜
I worked at a regular office job for many years. Now I am an independent contractor working from home part-time and as a Licensed Massage Therapist part time. I'm not making the corporate income anymore, but the peace I have almost makes up for it, lol.... Almost!
I need another stream of income and decided on REI after this weekend. I am considering becoming a Realtor/investor. I want to start wholesaling to learn about the basic process, move to flipping and eventually move to buy and hold of 1-2 multi-family properties. Why? Because I'm over 50 and need to secure my retirement and I want to travel before I am too much older.
I am happy to be here to learn all I can and eventually help others. 🙂

Hi @Trina Walker,
I share your story, as I am also "50'ish" and I am getting into RE investing to supplement my retirement income, and to ensure that I have a more than sufficient padding, which will allow for travel, and the ability to build a financial legacy for my family as well. I have been studying on BP for the past few months and have taken in so much, I think my head may explode!
I had studied with one of the RE "gurus" in the past, and I can unconditionally state that there is more information, education and community involvement here on BP than any I have seem previously.
Good luck with your RE investing!
