I am paying off my debt and am certain that I want to pay off my CC but to think that I should pay down the 2 and 4% student loans is a bit hard to accept.

It's harder to track sometimes because at least with the cc you can always look at your statment if you loose a receipet ... but the extra miles are worth the hassle to me!!!

I do credit and background check and advertise that this is a cost they incur (to be fair, I tell them there is no fee to apply and after we have reviewed the application and decided to move forward only then will they incur the credit/background check fee of $35 per adult) The service I use is mysmartmove.com becuase I never have to see the SSN or CC number, all I do is put in their email address and the website does the rest.

Every neighborhood will see pricing and rent tailwinds because of all the tech jobs in the area (starting total comp for an New Grad Engineer at Google in Durham is in the neighborhood of 160K), but there will likely always be Class C/C- areas.

Certainly no money goes toward RE until my 401k is fully funded, I set aside money in my kids' 529 plans, I pay off my monthly CC bills, etc.Even though you said we can be harsh, hopefully I wasn't.

Credit Karma hasn't done a great job of tracking my actual credit score, but it does have a neat credit score "simulator" that lets you see what different actions would take on your credit score (e.g. taking out a credit card or closing a cc.)

Higher the asset class obviously the less cash flow but my $100 is based on C-C+ multifamily.
