And on the home front, Right in peoples own backyards, something I have noticed is fast food prices are not falling like they do in a recession.

The OTAs are biting the hands that feed them as food (money) is getting scarce.

Where would you go to get food if you were a ferocious starving lion in Africa?

Besides the constant maintenance problems you at times have to consider what happens when the ref goes out for a few days and spoils the tenants food. 

And 2) It is like saying...Everyone eats food, so food has huge competition, so it is better to start eating rocks!

In my opinion, i dont think the price can get lower than now which means that from here they will slightly start going up, I reckon it might be very slow, but unless you are in a hurry to sell, i think it can be a very good investment with the years; by now, apart from enjoying the great enviroment and food here, you can also rent it, in high season you can get really good money by renting to foreigners (especially English and Nordics) that follow the spanish sun even in winter!
