If there is a tenant in place, I will wait until there is a turnover unless there is a common door that needs rekeying also.I now purchase all of my locks from landlordlocks.com and if I ever do need to rekey a property after a moveout, it takes about 30 seconds to do so and I can easily reuse the lock on a different property.You'll also get a master key that will unlock everything and anytime you order a new lock, it will be keyed so that your master will work on it.

@David Hunter Thanks for the reply.Yes, the house sits on the lake, and we always hire a professional photographer to take pictures (including from the water).

The person I listed their house for is family and had taken their photos themselves but I am already in the process of finding a new photographer. 

The appraiser wants us to cap the gas line in the coach house to show it's not a livable dwelling in photographs. 

We hired a real estate agent out of necessity because we just needed them to unlock the doors of the houses we were finding.

The last time I listed a property, I had a stream of lookers who dirtied up the house, used and dirtied the bathroom and agents left it unlocked and doors open many times. 

This allows you to unlock the loan to use it again.

BTW, try searching Craigslist for your appliances, you might find the old listing with enough visual context to show it is clearly your rental the unit was photographed in.
