The key to networking in general is, and always will be, authentic relationship building and adding value to others.

@Veronica Joyner Generally speaking, ground-up construction (GUC) is a very high-risk venture with a lot of variables not in your control and if a developer were to default mid-way, lenders are left holding the bag with incomplete construction and no way to monetize it other than selling it for pennies on the dollar.

Not bagging on San Diego.

But in your marketing efforts, if you come across a deal that you feel comfortable taking down but it's not inside your usual bag, do it anyways.

That is why I want to add wholesaling to my bag of tools - less risk and much quicker turnarounds. 

I had all of our snow equipment serviced, our bags of salt were all stacked nicely, and snow shovelers were lined up.  

I know who's just tellin going me prices and who's being authentic.
