I'm currently at lowes and will be going to Home Depot shortly. I'm going to these stores to find contractors or handyman in my area to work with for FREE. I'm looking to work under and HELP multiple people. I want too help as many people as I can free of charge. Just to be an asset to someone I can learn from. I want to learn about every aspect a house has to offered. I'm here too help and learn for FREE. Experience can be your best teacher and the things I learn I can implement to my business. Also in the near future since I will be doing repairs and tenant turnover. I know who's just tellin going me prices and who's being authentic. I think this is a great approach. Wish me luck !!

Our biggest problem here is covering you with Workmans comp etc & the impending liability of you as a beginner if you get injured. If the bldg inspector here shows up he wants to see certificates for all your workers. If you don't have coverage he will shut you down.

We had a case here where the 'friend' showed up to 'help & learn'. He was left to cut into siding & OSB for a new window. He removed the guard on a grinder, attached a small rotary saw blade & disabled the shutoff. He was 12 ft up on a ladder, it bounced back & he took a shot to the head with the blade & it nearly killed him & it did take off two fingers. They called Mercy flight & then OSA, the police & everyone showed up & the contractor is in a very tough spot & lost that job.
