I never hear Canadians talking about depreciating carpet for 27.5 years (kinda gross actually), so I'm assuming this is another '1031-exchange' thing...a great American tax strategy that doesn't exist in the True North strong & free.

It's a house with a unit upstairs and a unit downstairs that I rent out on a buy and hold strategy, as cashflow here isn't anything like it is in the US, and appreciation seems to be the main method of real estate investment here.Note that all prices below are in Canadian (CAD).I got a bit lucky in that the market here exploded and I did really well with my investment.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for reputable wholesalers and project managers in places such as Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Cleveland and others.We are looking to finance the flips completely by ourselves (purchase, holding and reno costs) so we won't need any US hard money lenders as we have heard that it is very difficult for Canadian investors to get good financing for flips and buy and holds.
