It is common, but not all carriers offer it.

I went to the postal office Saturday morning to find out when they will be mailing them out, and the carrier supervisor told me they can't find the package anymore.  

I am currently going through a carrier change and a money flow problem at the same time.

It will limit your carriers but some will still write policies on them.

But you should shop around, starting with your current home and auto carrier IMO.
