Of course we would all make allowance for two different animals that perform two separate tasks that require separate training; one to wake for the door bell, one to remind for meds for instance.

Forty years ago I was the "son" and I did just this while in med school in Philly, purchasing a rowhouse, and I collected rent from 4 classmates, all good friends, and it more than covered my living expenses. 

He told me that his wife has medical bills for MS, $5600 for meds and $505 for the infusion/ monthly.This is news to me...and if this is all true, this would cripple their ability to pay rent.
