@Joey Chalhoub This decision should be read narrowly to address statutory frameworks such as MN where state law permits it to take property to satisfy real estate taxes/penalties/interest, sell it, and keep any surplus outright.

This year, the State Legislature gave all counties the authority to change STR's laws however they see fit.

I commuted back and forth from Arizona to California for 4 years and when I would stay in Arizona I stayed on the fold out couch in the living room of the guest house behind my Arizona primary home because my mother-in-law still lived in the bedroom.During this time of living in Arizona for 4 days and California for 3 days a week, my business partner and I built a large real estate portfolio through hustling and finding good deals.

Landlord laws, taxes, labor costs, property values, etc. 

Start by researching affordable states with strong rental markets and landlord-friendly laws.

Truckee has some tight STR laws and if you're in that game I'd stay.  

I would read up on "Squatters Rights" laws and how long a typical eviction takes to execute.

Second, we current Americans would learn to say “Eh?”

@Joseph Binkowski - this seems overly complicated and possibly breaking a law... maybe you need a lawyer to vet this.If I were that accredited investor, I wouldn't touch any of it.

Yeah the law changed I believe back in 2020.You cannot do short term rental with an HPR unless you own both sides.
