And before you do, instead of spending $10K why not spend $1500 by cleaning it up, repairing the skirting, putting $100 worth of cheap painted shutters on the exposed side, finding some carpet remnants for the floors, and attacking the interior with a cheap airless paint sprayer and then either: 1) rent it or 2) take a down payment and sell it on terms?

I was doing the 'pay extra on all loans plan' but found I wasn't really moving the needle on any of them.I would ID the one that's the highest rate or otherwise least favorable and attack it with everything you were going to spread around.

I want it to rebuild my home, cover my lost income if I die, pay the hospital if I have a heart attack, etc.

I think we should make kind suggestions to the host not attack we are not living in a perfect world.

Make certain that you start to map out your plan of attack in a business plan.
