Trying to hold property owners responsible- morally - for society's failure to be able to properly house and care for all of the elderly people in the USA seems misplaced.

BUT there are tons of misplaced individuals and renting long term could be done in days for a premium. 

I think you misplace about this topic.

I prefer more hands on activity like trolling websites for listings in misplaced categories, connecting with the right people in the right industries and as much face to face private seller finding as you can. 

Perhaps my expectations are misplaced. :-)

This does not cost you anything but misplaced pride you will come to realize you will do better without in this field of endeavor.

most likely laziness or misplaced trust. the only person who you can reasonably expect to care for your property is you, and a strongly written lease is your first line fo defense against damages.
