In addition, there has been racial slurs thrown at me, disapproval of my race working with this employer and a host of other things that has been reported to my employer that is basically being ignored.

The funny thing is that my loan officer stated that the underwriters were unhappy and disapprove of the use of funds being used to be additional properties and said it would be better to rewrite the letter stating we were using the funds to take a lengthy trip overseas somewhere.

The natural reaction to a rent raise is to be unhappy, however if the tenant knows they've been "getting away with it" for a while, they may not really get upset, even if they show disapproval. 

Although the properties are owned by the seller on title(likely an individual or couple), its the bank that has the power to approve or disapprove of your offer regardless of what the individual or couple wants.

They ended up disapproving my contract so they could take the other offer.
