For example if they did backsplash on the kitchen, make sure no tiles are cracked and there's no small little holes in the grout between the wall outlets.

@Nathan Grubb the old school way are those fans that are coming out the side of the house in the backsplash area.

Also VERY good point on being able to frame in a dishwasher panel if I do put in new cabinets.As for the countertop, I plan on installing a lighter color to match the backsplash (maybe a peach color) so it might be best to go with the quartz afterall.

Kitchen backsplash of brick wallpaper doesn't even extend behind the stove.

I was hoping to get 1900-2000 for my 3 bed, which is more or less the going rate, if I were just a few miles closer to downtown and/or had a kitchen with back splash/new floors.
