While I didn't like feeling I was in Time Square on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, the New York side felt completely dead. 

I’m a New York City native, but purchasing any type of real estate in this area is not realistic for me. 

Any recco on what cities/vicinities may fit that criteria?
