I live in Upstate New York but i was thinking of areas more out west or down south.

Of course I rode the wave from 2018 to 2024 with the west coast transplants during COVID and driving up prices in the area.  

When you start asking the question, where are we going to get more housing for all of the 20,000 people moving to our valley every year, you look around and say: "I guess I will".Our first project has been over 3 years in process with a handful of friends and my Dad as the primary investor, we are ready to break ground on 17 units of townhomes and multifamily units for sale in West Boise.

Buying a second home for short-term rentals can be a smart move (especially in a vacation hotspot like West Palm Beach), but there are key factors to consider.

We're just clueless mid west investors not interested in buying bad deals. 

I have always been interested in real estate and engaged in BiggerPockets loosely while in college at West Virginia University.

Currently looking at lots on west side.  

I recommend checking out these west side neighborhoods for cash flow: Jefferson, Cudell, Brooklyn Centre, and West Boulevard
