Is Spokane a Good Market for House Hacking? Considering Tucson, AZ as Well
Hey everyone,
I’m new to the BiggerPockets community and eager to learn! I started listening to the podcast and reading real estate books about two months ago, and I’m excited to take my first step into real estate investing.
I’m currently in Spokane, WA, and I’m pre-approved for a loan. My plan is to start with house hacking, but I have some concerns. I know Washington is a tenant-friendly state, which makes me a bit hesitant. Plus, many of the properties here are older and not exactly cheap.
My other option is Tucson, AZ, where I’m originally from. Arizona is more landlord-friendly, and I’m familiar with the area, which makes it appealing.
For those with experience in either market, what are your thoughts? Is Spokane a good place to start house hacking, or would Tucson be a better move? Any insights, personal experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
