Look into what Mitt Romney did with his IRA it had over $100 Million in it when he ran for president, and I think I read he had an 8 year old kid with some outrageous number of millions in their retirement plan too.

My belief is it is a reaction to the shift of the republican party to the right (maybe both are in reaction to each other) and if we had the republicans of Mitt Romney or McCain (both I considered moral men) that there would not have been the shift left (or it would not have been as extreme).
