If the panel is 100amp service, but the wiring has been derated to 80amp, then it won't be able to handle the AC, fridge, stove, water heater, etc all running at the same time.

I recall paying something like $495 a year to include fridge and a couple other items that were not standard, and the deductible for "each" claim was 50-65 bucks.

Furnace, water heater, appliances, roof, floors, updating the kitchen and bathroom every 20 years.On top of that I have water bill, trash, lawn, rental license, etc.I've only had my duplex for 4 months and already I have replaced a fridge, a dryer, spent $20 on pest control, I had a small electrical issue, a backed up sewer line, put in screens on the basement windows, replumbed a leaky shower faucet, and the AC doesn't hardly work, so that is going to be another $100 minimum.

Personally, I doubt they will pay it, but most people here know my opinion of insurance companies.We had a deal with a local used applaince shop for $100 stoves and fridges.
