Break in at rental--will renter's insurance cover my appliances??

OK guys, I had a break in at one of my rentals yesterday while my tenant was out of town for a week. I don't know if you can really call it a break in actuallly. I lived in this house for 2 years while I was in college, so I know the neighbors very well. There was no forced entry, and the neighbor said the window was open all week while my tenant was out of town. That's more like of a free buffet of electronics :) He has renter's insurance, so he's not worried at all. I'm wondering if I can get this renter's insurance to pick up the tab for a new oven? Any ideas? I'm not putting in a claim for a new oven, so I'll just be out 100 bucks for a craigslist crappy oven, but if I can get his insurance to cover a new one (it was a nice newer appliance package bc i did live there for a few years), I'd let them do it. After all, the tenant is responsible. And before anyone jumps in with the fact that the tenant should pay out of his own pocket, he's been a great tenant for going on 3 years now, and this is my first problem with him, so I've already decided I'll buy the craigslist oven if his insurance turns me down. What do yall think about the renter's insurance option??? Thanks!
