I'm curious on what your thoughts are for starting out, whether it's even possible to start out in Boston (my understanding is that prices aren't exactly cheap), and whether owning properties in Boston and abroad would end up being too much of a bifurcation of attention and irrationally costly with the teams needed to support these investments in such separate geographic areas.

Jay there is an irrational thought process that all cash flow properties will run smooth in a big down turn and that simply is not the case... if that was the case you would never have seen all these multi families in foreclosure from 08 to 2012.. or SFR owners lose their homes by the droves... rentals or owners... most folks simply have too much leverage and not enough liquidity to ride out the storm if they do get vacancies for any extended amount of time....

What would they prefer, you having to raise the rents sky high because you constantly overpay due to this irrational fear of inconveniencing tenants or having your PM let them in like they are supposed to so you can get a fair bid??
