Hi I am about to registered a domain and want not only to focus in my city but also in a 2 hour radius around me, smaller cities around, I am wondering, should I call my company BuyCashAustin or BuyCashTexas, I want to seem local but also want to be able to target other markets located one to two hour away..

Surely all 6 red flags, like their domain being a medical site as recently as October, their own company not ranking for its own brand name, and all examples of SEO rankings achieved for clients have no PPC ads running on them among others, will all be cleared up as a big misunderstanding once we speak. :)

(Ben Graham's "The Intelligent Investor" is perhaps the best volume on the subject), and I'll suggest that the core "value investing" philosophy is a direct corollary to the REI adage of "you make money when you buy, not when you sell", in that you make your money when you buy a stock when its undervalued and includes a sufficient "margin of safety" (itself the analog of a lender capping their exposure based on LTV).Patience, prudence, curiosity, and a desire to learn are hallmarks of a successful investor in any domain, and I'm with you in that I'll keep doing both :)

I recently went to a meeting with the Austin REI club at the Domain expecting a discussion on Austin market trends but it turned out to be a guru pitch.

Why would you trust a business that hides their domain behind a domain of proxy? 

So we bought agriculture land around 1990, around 2007 the surrounding lots and land around us have been bought for use for commercial properties, but couldn't buy our house/land for the price they wanted (they actually went to the state regarding this; the state panel said that we had the right to our land, and have the right to sell it at our price, knowing that the developers would convert it to commercial and thus our price was reasonable).The state also actually used eminent domain to pave way for the main street right off a major highway and they took about 1/10 of our property.Ok.

Property is condemned - does this mean the owner no longer has the right to sell per eminant domaine?

Cost for average appraiser from a bank was about 350 ,, I hired a highly qualified appraiser that actually goes out views comps inside and out and paid 1500 for the appraisal and the difference in valuation for my property was over 250K granted it is a unique property and I had need for condemnation eminent domain legal reasons to find the best and highest value for my property.

If that is the case, I would work from a good easy to remember name for which the domain is available.  

Do a lot of research on strategy, contracts, rent rates, rehab costs, ARV, location, etc. but once you've got an idea of where you want to market, if you are bound and determined to get started in wholesaling with only $1,000 then this is what I would do...BTW, this is basically what I did and I how I got started in Memphis$10 domain name from GoDaddy.
