I would suggest trying to get in with a top producing team to learn the ropes if you take the plunge.

You will learn so much from buying a small SFR or duplex and renting it out, and with a smaller amount of up-front cash, you won't plunge too far if the deal goes south.I believe I could have purchased 2-3 times as many properties in my first year as I did, but I am trying to build a slow, steady portfolio that grows at a healthy, sustainable pace.

He has been bartending for years and years and the schedule was incredibly hard for a vibrant family life, so he took the plunge and got his RE license and is 2 months now working with a RE team.  

I started buying rentals a few years ago, and am looking to veer away from buy-and-hold for a bit and take the plunge into flipping.I would love to find flip properties in the south San Antonio neighborhood where I just bought my latest property (it is heating up here).

I recently decided to take the plunge and bought an out-of-state SFH rental investment through Roofstock.

If there is one thing I must have heard more than any other as a reason to reconsider getting into rental properties, it was that I was surely to spend my life waking up in the middle of the night to go plunge my tenants plugged toilets.

If that is the case, then it is not a situation that you afraid to take the plunge into real estate investing.
