The government should NOT EVER be able to force a US Citizen to buy any product or service (SS and Medicare is not a product or service).That being said, once you OWN a piece of investment property, the Fair Housing Act kicks in, as well as when you SELL it.I have several properties in Orange County, CA rented to Hispanics and have had good success with them.

Here the banks are suppose to provide citizens with access to a bank account, as a condition of their charter.That said, with the amount of "fees" most banks levy these days and the staggering level of their minimum balances to avoid monthly account fees (often 5K+), quite a few people are deterred from using the banks.I tend to agree that the partial payment bit is overblown here on the site.

Your location will play a big role on both the payback (electricity rates, incentives, ability to sell surplus generation and for how much) and whether tenants will pay a rent premium to live in a sustainable home.Our local utility is late to the table when it comes to renewable resources (having recently spent a billion $$ rehabbing a nuclear power station that was end-of-life, it's clear their focus is elsewhere) and provides very little incentive, and no material assistance, for citizens or business owners to generate their own electricity.
