Any input on renting to hispanic tenants?
We may be purchasing a building which houses hispanic tenants. We have never done this before.
Besides the language barrier, are there other issues? For example, how would you deal with leases to tenants who can't read english? Do you guys think it a good idea we invest in this?

So, first, you must know that considering race is a violation of the Fair Housing Act and will subject you to severe penalties. They do send out testers to see how you act.
I do have language issues with some of my tenants. Usually I end up talking with a child if we need to be sure the communications is solid. For my tenants and prospects, their first language is usually Spanish. I have put some time into learning some Spanish, and can speak enough to get through a "how many beds and baths and how much is the rent" conversation.
If things get really tough, I impose on one of my Spanish speaking friends to help.
If the building is big enough that you would hire a manager, hire someone's who's bilingual.
