I initially paid for repair but the repair job was not good at all - this was a lazy Susan cabinet door, the repairman tried to bond the two panels but there's so much gap between the two panels and paint has chipped, they're so ugly.

it's very easy to figure out where future appreciation will most likely occur:Answer: in blue chip regions like SF/bay, costal So Cal, Manhattan, Hawaii.Reasons:1- very limited supply- desire able areas with no places to add new housing due to building restrictions, high costs, NIMBY's, etc. 2- low turnover- many wealthy people already live there, and can, and want to stay. 3- these areas have high paying jobs for these existing people and new ones moving in. 4- real estate is already expensive here.

If you purchased the property for $400K but it only appraises for $390K then the bank will only loan on the $390K and you have to come up with the difference of $10K or ask the seller to help chip in (they pay $5,000 & you pay $5,000).

It isn't just going to be $25 per month if the building needs a new roof (for example) and every owner has to chip in $1000 (for example).
