As a gesture of goodwill, you can prorate the rent and pay him a nominal amount for the days you have stayed there, if he even takes it.Hope this helps.

Than a gift is a great way to let them know you appreciate them.I try to find out the favorite food that your manager likes to go out and eat and give them $25-$50 gift certificate for it.They will always take care of you for that gesture!

I’d also communicate that this is a one time gesture that I’m not offering every tenant.It has also come down about 1.25 per gallon from the highs, so it’ll adjust down a bit and we’re at the end of the heavy heating oil season.

On a side note, while your offer to compensate their employee for the time it takes you or your contractor to affect the repairs is a nice gesture, I have never heard of that being necessary as either your lease or your state/local rules should allow you to make repairs as needed.
