Lets see if in 10 or 12 years has Portland become a model city that other municipalities want to emulate, or if it will have fallen into poverty and destitution--looking for endless federal government handouts to solve its decay, and other problems.I remember a city in the past that was much much greater than Portland, that quickly fell into destitution from lawlessness and STUPID decisions, that to this day is consider by many a "No-Go Zone".

I think a lot of new investors look at the allure of STR and see the big revenue numbers and forget how much damage your house and your furniture and your furnishings will take with guest after guest after guest staying in your houseIf you let your house and the furniture and the furnishings fall into a state of decay, what originally started as a big moneymaker will instead become a constant source of guest complaints and bad reviews and headaches and sleepless nights (for you & your guests!)

We got a complaint from a neighbor about the smell/possible dead body--you could smell it from the outside, I literally thought I was walking into a homicide... but when we got inside, there was decaying chicken in the kitchen, maggots, bugs, everything on it.
