In the DMV, at least from what I have seen, the properties under $200k need at least $50k to make it inhabitable.

She had a clogged toilet 3 times in 3 months and I had a plumber go out and fix it each time the next day, and the plumber told me that it was because of excess toilet paper and wipes and this last time she clogged it, I mentioned to her that we were going to replace her toilet but in the time being to not throw anything in the toilet, so she complained that her unit was inhabitable and she had to go stay at a hotel, which I told her that the toilet got fixed and there was nothing wrong with her unit.

The properties are in an area in NJ that is not the greatest, but it is a heavy renter area, where many of the houses are inhabited by renters.
