Some of the realtors I work with that I most admire, are former lenders that said "this is nonsense, unethical, immoral, and dishonest, I can't compete and be an honest player in this environment" and thus... quit lending and became realtors.

Don't get too wrapped up with the number of property managers listed on the BBB (which is biased, dishonest discriminates against non-paying members).

There's no doubt that it takes certain unique skill sets to maintain one's equanamity in this racket.But speaking from experience, I know there are worse ways to earn a nickel, and worse people to deal with than evil tenants, mendacious lawyers, petty civil servants, obstreperous bureaucrats, dishonest vendors, thieving contractors, lying business partners and ......Geez, maybe I better rethink this whole thing.

@David Garrison It is always easy to sense those who are dishonest, if it doesn’t happen the first time you meet them it will come out in time.

Meeting people face to face is great but doesn't preclude them from being dishonest or incompetent.
