Ultimately, I am a believer in the trickle-down effect, you can call me an optimist, - new jobs always positive momentum - maybe it will not triple or double home values, but it can certainly at least help preserve what exists and mitigate deterioration - if not Amazon, who will be the major job supplier in the defined municipalities ?

Avg ARRs are 1.26% to 10.3% (student housing which is getting pretty overbuilt).The points with DSTs are:1) Asset preservation = Min risk2) Deferring taxes3) Min bother to investorsIf you want better return and are younger/aggressive, DSTs are not what I'd recommend.

I'm about 130% into real estate... that means I only own 1 property and owe money, so I have more than I own in real estate...The way I see it... real estate is how I make my money and I still don't have enough to worry about diversification... later in life I'll go from wealth creation to wealth preservation when diversification becomes critical. if you have one egg you can only use one basket.That being said, play safe... every property you own is like one of those flags in super Mario, if you die, you will re spawn on one of those... don't risk your flags, only your current project

While I'd assume that Costa Rica will want to preserve its national parks, let's not forget that the country is poor and badly needs money and foreign investment.I can't see how I can reasonably make the figures work for myself but maybe my required return is higher.
