My point exactly, if you can't have a little fun why bother.This business is often stressful, tenants can be a major pain in the butt.When your stuck with a nut job let lose the squirrels.Think of crazy tenants like a kitten......and the landlord has the laser pointer.

The PM says because the hair and who knows what else accumulates over time, that Florida law goes as far to say that it wouldn't be fair to penalize the current user of the property.I could certainly see this if the lease didn't specify, but they are saying we can't put it in the lease that the tenant be responsible for keeping the plumbing fully operational.Thanks to any knowledgable Florida landlords out there!

And in all my leases, I have a clause about repairs, and the tenant must pay for any repairs/service that is a result of their actions (like if they clog the toilet w/ too much tp, clog the shower drain because they didn't trap the hair, or... screw up the central a/c bc they were running it in colder weather)It's unfortunate, but many renters, whether they are low income or high income, feel perfectly OK with abusing the house because they aren't paying for it.

That raises the hair on the back of my neck when those are the first words from a prospects mouth, but we have to live with that and then the mess they make in the toilet and on the floor.
