In California, some people genuinely believe that renting a property and breaching the lease in place in multiple stances still gives them all rights as my tenants have told me, "you can never kick us out because we complained to you about some repairs".

Back to your response, I do find that someone asking that question is not necessarily an indicator that the lead itself is bad because some people are just genuinely curious which is why I am genuinely curious to hear what other people have done in a similar situation hence why I posted it on here.
