We all have our strengths and weaknesses. 

And I believe both have their strengths and weaknesses and a place in a diversified portfolio.However, if I were overseas, I would never try to purchase and/or manage directly owned properties while overseas (and especially if I had never done it before).

I appreciate your honesty, it helps me to understand my own weaknesses and how to do this better next time. 

Know your strengths and weaknesses and if you know working from a distance is not really in your wheelhouse or takes away some of the strengths you bring to the REI game, then look closer to home.

I own properties with weak or no rent growth, as well as ones in high rent growth areas.

I know what my strengths and weaknesses are as a Investor.

So although we have knowledge of constriction costs, what areas are Hot, and rehab time frames, the ability to find funding for deals, and what is a "good" funding deal is where I am weak. 

I will begin military service starting march next year and will only be home for short periods every 2 weaks for the duration of the service (15 months).

We don't need more weak links.
