Rental or flip?

Hi guys! Looking to start investing in real estate in my home country Sweden. Don’t know if/how much the prices has dropped over in the US but here we’ve seen pretty dramatic price drops. I will begin military service starting march next year and will only be home for short periods every 2 weaks for the duration of the service (15 months). My question is if I should do a flip before I go into the military or if I am able to manage a rental investment when I’m not home much.
