Dawid Surowiec alarm bells should be going off when I hear an owner doesn’t want tenants to know etc. they need to know as otherwise what if they come back and say they have 2 months deposits or leases executed etc or better yet they are not paying and your trying to evict them which could take forever.

I call them Safety and Water Inspections, check all the smoke alarms and under every sink, this gets me a visual of pretty much the entire property.

In the end since our credit was excellent I think we could have done just as well if we went direct to a local lender.Also 5 plus units changes fire code compliance in our area so we needed a fire alarm system approved by the town which the building had but there were some tweaks to be done.

As others have said, spend the $1.50 for the outlet and the $3 for the smoke alarm battery, pick up a new stove at one of the recent big appliance sales at Lowes/Home Depot, take the cost of this off next years taxes, start getting your money back from Section 8 and when the current lease is up, don't renew with this program.Gail
