Watch for cedar columns that shrink over time, leading to tilting floors, knob & tube wiring, decrepit plumbing, asbestos pipe insulation, horsehair plaster pulling away from the underlying walls and wet basements due to either leaky fieldstone foundations or a high water table.All those things can be dealt with, but they need a budget.
