Syndication for Beginners
Hello BP community,
After doing research on real estate investments for quiet sometime, I came to the conclusion that I want to get my feet wet in real estate by investing as a passive investor via a syndication deal sometime this year.
I am a young guy who is not an accredited investor but I like to consider myself to be (somewhat) financially savvy (I am a tax accountant and hopefully a CPA by June of this year).
How can someone like myself get involved in syndication deals? What are some things I should look out for?
I appreciate any and all insight.

@Charles DeRiso Welcome to BP community! You're find a ton of great resources here.
In terms of syndications. I'd recommend you start by educating yourself on the topic of syndications (As a former tax accountant, I guarantee you'll learn a ton of new stuff that you've never even heard about!)
1) I'd start with Gene Trowbridge (securities attorney) book "It's a whole new world". A lot of folks on BP also recommend Joe Fearless new book on Syndications, but I haven't read it yet.
2) There's a bunch of podcasts that cover syndications. As an example, @Whitney Sewell "The Syndication Show". There're also generic REI podcasts that offer interviews with syndicators as well as podcasts that concentrate on a specific asset class. For instance, Jake&Gino "Wheelbarrow profits"& Rod Khleif's podcasts concentrate on multifamily.
There's Kevin Bupp's that concentrates on MHP.
3) Network with like-minded investors virtually and locally (through REI meetups).
Finding deal sponsors on BP is pretty easy: just search the word "syndications". You can also find that a lot of crowd-funding platforms offer them, some offer it to sophisticated investors. @Ian Ippolito can give a solid advise on this topic.
