No matter how "great" an applicant may otherwise appear or how much sympathy I may have for their situation, if they don't have enough money to pay rent, THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY RENT.

@ David Faulkner - your post made me laugh so hard.... not that I don't have sympathy, becasue I had a very similar experience with my OOS investing about 10 years... learnt my lesson and got out at $100k loss....Lol..Same thing - repair after repair on any smallest tiniest issue... and nothing got fixed...Also got 2 friends coming as joint tenants... 6 month in, one moved out...the remaining only paid half of the rent... when he moved out, the pool was a mess....

I know I've heard of people pleading financial hardship, asking for a reassessment, etc. but it's hard for me to think that an investor pleading financial hardship is going to get much financial sympathy.
