Often, this is done to adapt to market changes.

Maybe they're more innovative or just really good at adapting to changes in the market.

The hard point with an adaptive reuse is when you need to incorporate the appropriate staff for the extended stay hotel angle you need the property setup (reservation desk, offices, etc...), additionally there is a marketing aspect to target the people who would be utilizing the short term stay yet longer than you would with a traditional extended stay hotel. 

Adapt the Operating agreement to a degree. 

As real estate investors, we have to be willing to adjust our strategy and adapt to the market.

Investors might be keeping an eye on how the business adapts to the changing demand.

Your longevity in this business will live and die with your ability to adapt.

Plenty are doing it, not sure if they are profitable yet or what it will look like but time will tell.This is where the first battle of mass adaptation will begin. 

@Rahma ZaghariEssentially, if you have no experience with this space be prepared for anything and everything; you will be on an island in the beginning so prepare to adapt.
