So like others have shared, this is the time to study and learn and keep saving so when you find the first deal you can knock it out of the park! 

I don't think it's worth trying to sue the county over 6k, it may cost more in legal fees.This was my first flip and it has been a school of hard knocks. 

We found this property through months of door knocking, post cards, anything to make connections in the neighborhood we wanted to live in.

I do this anyway because I've been doing a lot of door-knocking to find new clients, and it's pretty interesting to see what kinds of gems pop up when you aren't just looking at a Google map.

Based on above and you find somewhere else, sure knock it down and build if those numbers are correct. 

The only real knock I've ever seen against the 401k is that you can't save enough in them to get wealthy.Good luck Daniel

You can cold call or door knock the neighbors.

Don't get into a long drawn out - knock down & move the walls type of project as a newbie.  

After a bit more research, I found out this Rentlinx wanna-be knock-off is owned by an OpenDoor Agent.

Write them a letter, track down their phone number to call and/or text and knock on their door.
