I find that kinda strange, I certainly would not consider this for my backyard, people will be using your backyard for their bathroom and you hose for a shower and your grill for their kitchen.

I could see how it'd be a challenge to get folks down there.If you do the residential conversion, looks like you have a flat roof - could you put an entertaining space up there -- area with some lounge chairs, some planters, maybe a grille or something?

Preferably newer homes (less than 15 years old).  5)  Hire a property manager (although the homes are local) ~ so I can manage her/him managing my prop's.6)  Hold $600,000 in cash for 2 years worth of expenses (emergency fund) ~ if indeed, I somehow spent $300k per year.7)  Travel, do some hobby stuff, grill out and drink beer, and spend time with the fam.

Lifestyles Unlimited is and the RICH Club are probably the two best places in town for education, outside of BiggerPockets.In regards to networking, Jet Lending has the biggest networking event each month. 3rd Wednesday of each month at Texans Grille in City Centre.I agree with Account Closed, your income from Medical Devices Sales should be more than sufficient to get you in a few houses.
