I do have like 10 days before i can do any sort of "work" yet though because i just sent in all the paperwork, fingerprints, etc. and was told it would be about 2 weeks before i get my 'realtor number' (not sure what it's called).

But reporting the theft to the police might be required by the insurance company and it also puts the details into the police crime data base.When my house in San Jose, California was burglarized twice in the 1980s, I had the police come out (non-emergency phone call) to take the report and dust for finger prints.
