I recently bought a home from this agent and he knows I have some money tied up because of my husband's untimely death--he was surgeon.

My thoughts are that it would be faster this way to acquire a new income generating asset than to wait the 8-12 months for reconstruction.  

My current agent wont let me get a RC policy without it being close to the cost to reconstruct new which is almost double of market value, if not I have to go ACV.
